OUR PROCESS

01
Crops and Horticulture
Our crop production process begins with careful land preparation and soil analysis to ensure optimal conditions for planting. We employ sustainable farming techniques, including crop rotation and organic fertilization, to maintain soil fertility and reduce environmental impact. Our irrigation systems, introduced in partnership with Irico Company, ensure consistent water supply, enabling year-round cultivation of vegetables, bananas, mangoes, and avocados.
-
Organic Farming: We prioritize organic farming practices for vegetables, avoiding synthetic chemicals to produce safe and nutritious crops for our customers.
Poultry Management
Our poultry operations are designed to ensure the health and productivity of our birds while meeting the highest standards of animal welfare.
-
Breeding and Hatchery: We maintain a robust parent stock of Indbro (Indian Brown Layers) and broiler breeds, supported by a hatchery with a capacity of 30,000 eggs and a 10,000-hatcher capacity. Artificial insemination techniques, learned in collaboration with Egerton University, ensure high fertility rates and quality chicks.
-
Housing and Feeding: Our poultry houses are equipped with advanced ventilation and feeding systems to create a conducive environment for the birds. We use high-quality feed to promote healthy growth and high egg production.
-
Processing and Distribution: Broilers are reared and processed using state-of-the-art slaughtering facilities, ensuring hygiene and quality. Eggs and chicks are distributed locally and regionally, meeting the needs of individual farmers and large-scale buyers.
02
Dairy Production
Our dairy process is focused on producing high-quality milk through modern practices and advanced herd management.
-
Herd Management: Our dairy herd has grown from 50 to 250 mature cows, with over 70 calves. We prioritize genetic improvement and proper nutrition to ensure high milk yields.
-
Milking and Storage: Milk is harvested using modern milking machines, ensuring hygiene and efficiency. The milk is then stored in refrigerated tanks to maintain freshness before being transported to NKCC for processing.
-
Sustainability Practices: We utilize manure from the dairy farm as organic fertilizer for our crops, creating a circular system that minimizes waste.

03

Apiary Operations
Our apiary process is designed to produce high-quality honey while supporting biodiversity.
-
Hive Management: Starting with 23 hives in 2014, our apiary has expanded significantly. We use Kenya Top Bar Hives (KTBH) to optimize honey production and ensure the health of our bees.
-
Honey Harvesting: Honey is harvested with care to preserve its natural qualities. Our processes adhere to strict hygiene standards to deliver pure and unadulterated honey to our customers.
-
Pollination Services: By maintaining healthy bee populations, we contribute to pollination in our crops and surrounding ecosystems, enhancing overall agricultural productivity.
Quality Assurance and Market Distribution
At every stage of our process, we prioritize quality assurance to ensure that our products meet the highest standards.
-
Inspection and Testing: Regular inspections and quality tests are conducted to maintain consistency and safety in our products.
-
Packaging and Branding: Our products are packaged with care to preserve freshness and ensure customer satisfaction.
-
Market Reach: We have established strong partnerships with local and regional markets, including county governments and large-scale buyers, ensuring reliable distribution channels for our products.
